However, if your goal is heavy, high-speed battle skratching or advanced turntablism, its 1.6 kg·cm torque motor will feel a bit sluggish under a heavy hand. For aggressive skratch routines, we highly recommend upgrading to a high-torque deck like the PLX-CRSS12 or PLX-1000 when considering a Pioneer turntable. If you're mixing style does not include advanced skratching & turntablism or your focus is vinyl listening at home or building your vinyl archive, this deck is a fantastic, budget-friendly workhorse.
