Our Why

BPM614 started with a simple question:

What if there was a place where DJs actually wanted to hang out, even when they weren't buying anything?

​

After years of searching for that kind of space ourselves, we realized it didn't exist. So we decided to build it.

More than anything, we wanted to create the kind of place we wish we'd had when we were coming up as DJs, a place where you could get your hands on professional gear before investing in it, ask questions without feeling judged, find people who genuinely wanted to help, and spend time around others who shared the same passion for music.

We wanted more than a retail store. We wanted a home base for Columbus' DJ community, a place where someone could take a lesson, rehearse for an upcoming set, discover new music, meet other DJs, or just hang out with people who understand the excitement of chasing that next great mix.

Every decision we've made has been guided by one belief: Community Comes First.

The gear matters, but it's what that gear helps people create, and the connections it inspires, that really counts.

Whether you're touching a set of decks for the first time or you've been behind them for decades, you're welcome here. Our goal is to help you grow, support your creativity, and make sure you always have a place to practice, learn, and belong.
